Working with words

I was critiquing a friend's work and I guess I was indifferent to the design. I kind of laughed at it and my friend was very upset with me.

I guess I can...well I know I can be cynical but, I never really knew how serious people took their art because well, I guess I'm so used to people saying my shit sucked back when I started even making shit that I guess everyone has the tough skin that I have.

I'm wrong.

And I should be really careful with my words, cause I never realized how much everyone puts into their work.

But if I try to be soft, will I just be fooling myself?
